Physician Advisor

Job Description
The Physician Advisor serves as a clinical resource to client hospitals and health systems by providing identification, facilitation and resolution of utilization issues. These services are performed electronically and telephonically with hospital clients to address the following issues: medical necessity review, clinical compliance, continued stay review, resource management, hospital reimbursement, quality issues, case management and physician education.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge base
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and computer skills
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Team play attitude
• M.D. or D.O. with 3+ years of post-residency inpatient clinical practice preferred
• Medical licensure mandatory; Board Certification preferred
